You're invited to the Boston premiere of:
Beyond Black Rock
Wednesday, June 15
6:30 - 11:00 pm
Redtail Collective
Those of you who already go to Burning Man, come to be inspired for this year's trek to the playa. For those of you who have never been, come satisfy your curiosity about those freaks in the desert.
Here’s what Andie Grace, Actiongrl had to say the Beantown Hoedown:

"I have to put my big stamp of "GET UP AND GO!" on the "Beyond Black Rock" screening. I've probably said it ten thousand times, but I'll say it again: this film is this the most behind-the-scenes documentary about Burning Man to date, and it will it stoke your memories and fan your flames. Follow the creation of Burning Man from the moment the man falls in 2002 to 2003's event... from every point of view: staff, volunteers, theme camps, artists, performers, and even just the guy who shows up in a tent. It takes thirty thousand people to build Black Rock City and tear it down again; this is the story of how it all happens."
We'll kick off the night with a happy hour (please bring something to share) and some music. After the Beyond Black Rock screening, we'll feature some short films about Burning Man, including footage from the '80s beach burns, and early '90s on the playa.
This event is a fundraiser for the container truck we rent to ship everything out to the playa from Boston: $7 suggested donation. Tickets will be available at the door; no advance ticket sales. Copies of the early-edition Beyond Black Rock DVD will be available onsite only for $10.
