Gone Off Deep Presents
The Gone Off Deep Crew descended on San Francisco earlier this month to catch up with the Burning Man organization and artists in the Bay Area. Director of Photography Rob VanAlkemade made the trip from New York, arriving on April 6th, just in time to cover the Town Hall Meeting, an annual gathering with Burning Man volunteers.
The Austin contingent – Mike, Damon and myself – joined him later that day, and the next morning, we split into two crews. Rob and I spent much of the day at the Burning Man offices, where we shot interviews with Communications’ Girl of Action Andie Grace (AKA Actiongrl) and Fire/Pyrotechnic Performance Director Crimson Rose.
Both were great interviews and added crucial threads to the fabric we’re weaving with this documentary.
Mike and Damon, meanwhile, journeyed north to Petaluma to follow up with artist David Best, whose plans for this year’s temple are rapidly taking shape.
